+ FIRMWARE UPDATES
DRV LOADER SUPPORT
IMPORTANT
There are now two versions of the DRV display screen.
Each version uses a different firmware update method.
The DRV uses two separate PCB boards. The main board under the loader controls the motor, loading functions, and anti-jam features. The display board on the back provides player information, timer functions, and other display features.
Both boards use software. The display board software can be updated by the user as described below. The main board software requires specialized tools to update.
Installed software versions can be viewed in the display menu under ABOUT.
To identify which version you have, remove the inner tray and look at the connector on the top of the display housing:
Micro USB = Original display
USB-C = New Smart display
Original Display (Micro USB)
If your display has a Micro USB connector on top of the housing, use the current update process with a PC or Mac described below.
Smart Display (USB-C)
If your display has a USB-C connector on top of the housing, this model uses a Wi-Fi update process.
Wi-Fi update instructions for the USB-C version will be added here soon.
All DRV 250 Loaders are shipped with the Smart Display and latest DRV Display Software version 1.0.4. There are no new updates needed for any loader with a Smart Display.
Smart Display Software Version History
- Adjusted force measurement
- Fixed a communication bug with display
- Motor pulsing behavior removed entirely
- Motor spin logic refactored with shutdown check
- Battery voltage reads only when motor is stopped and frequency adjusted to 1Hz
